In addition to selling over 30 million records as a recording artist, Richard has written and produced mega-hits for other artists as diverse as Barbra Streisand, Josh Groban, NSYNC, Natalie Cole, Kenny Rogers and Keith Urban. His 2004 collaboration with the late Luther Vandross resulted in a Grammy Award for Song Of The Year for their hit, "Dance With My Father." A pop radio superstar from the late 80's through the 90's, Richard has written 37 top 30 chart hits, including an astounding 13 #1's. Among those were his own hits as an artist, "Hold On To The Nights," "Satisfied" and the classic "Right Here Waiting." In this Q&A session that will feature him performing some of his songs as a basis for discussion, Marx will discuss how to build long-term success, explain the rewards and challenges of writing for a variety of artists across multiple genres and will shed light on his creative process.
