What Dave Bassett brings to the studio is an enviable combination of raw talent and diverse experience as both a multi-platinum songwriter and producer. In 2013, Dave cowrote the Grammy winning song “Love Bites (So Do I)” by Halestorm. Dave is also a two-time ASCAP pop award winner, first in 2010 for writing Shinedown’s hit “Second Chance” which reached #1 at 4 different radio formats and again in 2011 for the follow up hit “If You Only Knew.”  In the wake of five #1’s from Shinedown’s platinum Sound of Madness LP, Dave teamed up with the band for the follow up LP Amaryllis cowriting 11 of the record's 12 track landing four more #1’s at rock radio. In addition, Dave has written and produced singles for Fitz and the Tantrums, Rome (of Sublime with Rome), Elle King, Rachel Platten, Walk off the Earth, Idina Menzel, Sevendust, and many others.  For years, Dave has consistently shown his diversity collaborating with pop stars from Josh Groban and Daughtry to music legends Meatloaf and the New York Dolls.  Operating out of his Malibu based studio, Chateau Relaxeau, Dave has also written and produced a vast catalog of songs, which have landed countless Film and TV placements. From the Voice and American Idol to Nissan and Target, Dave’s songs are in constant demand.  What led Dave down this musical path? A recent college graduate pursuing a career in Investment Banking, Dave found himself an unsuspecting victim of fate.  At a U2 concert, Bono handpicked the 21 year old from the sold out crowd to join the band on guitar for a life-changing rendition of Neil Young's "Southern Man".  Coincidentally, U2 producer and music mogul Jimmy Iovine was in attendance at the Chicago show and later offered Dave some studio time to record in Los Angeles.  A few short weeks later, Dave took the first steps in what has become a successful career as an artist, producer and songwriter.
