Independent singer/songwriter Delaney Gibson’s unique style of confessional, theatrical-pop music is on full display with her new album Tall Like the Tree (2014).

Raised in a "Storied Sea Town", Ventura, California, she studied classical voice from the age of nine. Her extensive training in music and vocal performance includes a Bachelor of Music with a concentration in classical vocal performance, from California State University, Northridge. As a vocalist she has backed musical legends such as Barbara Streisand, David Foster, and Barry Manilow. As well as opened a private party with Andrea Bocelli. But, her arsenal of weapons has grown from just her devastating voice. Delaney has become an inimitable piano, guitar and ukulele player.

Delaney has played more than 1,000 engagements across the United States and Europe and recently completed a UK tour, as  a backup singer with the popular band Wheatus. She has  starred as  a singer and dancer on the Fox TV Show, Boston Public and on the MTV Show, My Own. Delaney has been a vocalist on numerous T.V. segments, shows and commercials including: Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Emmy’s, Chevy, Ebay, and even Baywatch! Her song “La Di Da” has been featured on MTV’s The Real World and  Oxygen Network’s The Bad Girls Club

She placed 3rd in the world at the Eisteddfod Music Festival in Wales. Her winning performance was broadcast live on the BBC. Intel featured Delaney in their latest Intel-Inspired Ultrabook commercial. Shewas also part of Katalyst, YouTube and Intel’s IdeaJam. Where she was able to work alongside Scooter Braun, Pete Wentz, Karmin, and Nikka Costa, among others.

Despite all the professional work her vocal ability has provided, her real passion has always been her own songwriting. She has released two full length albums of her original music, The Worst Kind of Way and Hurricanes and Forget Me Nots. Her third album, Tall Like the Tree, is slated for release in early 2014. With her own brand of Torch/Pop she blends the theatrical sensibilities of Rufus Wainwright, effortlessly with the unabashed prowess of Florence + the Machine. A woman with soul and substance, Delaney is ready to release her new music on the world.
