From the first soulful note, you know there is something special about Kirby Lauryen. Born in Memphis, TN and bred upon Mississippi soil, Kirby found herself influenced by the rich vocal sounds of musical legends Otis Redding, Ella Fitzgerald, and Janis Joplin. She studied her craft and allowed it to grow from singer to singer-songwriter, but Kirby Lauryen most importantly sees herself as a storyteller. The Berklee College of Music self-declared graduate knows that a great story, set to music, will last a lifetime, and Kirby Lauryen is ready to do just that.
