Lindsay Rush is a Top 40 Songwriter and Music Executive who has worked in several areas of the Music Industry including Songwriting, A&R (Epic/Sony), Publishing, Artist Development, and Artist Management. At the age of seven, she discovered a love for songwriting and recording. By the age of thirteen, she began pursuing a career in the Music Industry. As a recording artist, Lindsay has played to fans all over the world, ultimately landing a coveted spot on tour with Rock legend, Pat Benatar, where she remained for four consecutive years. Lindsay began to realize that her true passions were in writing and in the business side of music, and not in performing. to Los Angeles. She worked as Benatar’s personal assistant and so in late 2009, Benatar facilitated Lindsay’s move from her hometown of Philadelphia was quickly taken under the wings of such acclaimed songwriters as Desmond Child and Andreas Carlsson. At this point, she began regularly writing music for other artists. During this time, Lindsay was also instrumental in the writing and promotion processes of Benatar's best­selling autobiography, Between a Heart & a Rock Place (HarperCollins). She has had the pleasure of working in various capacities, with Oprah, The Bangles, REO Speedwagon, Styx, Lisa Loeb, Joan Jett, Miley Cyrus, Salt N Pepa, Sister Sledge, Stevie Nicks, Michelle Branch, Sheryl Crow, Avril Lavigne, and many others. She then went on to work under superstar executive, LA Reid at Sony Music/Epic Records, where she helped launch the careers of artists like Karmin and Cher Lloyd. In 2012, Lindsay signed on as Creative Director to legendary music executive, Judy Stakee (Sheryl Crow, Michelle Branch, Jewel, Katy Perry, etc.). In 2013, in addition to enjoying her position at The Judy Stakee Company, Lindsay founded POP in a SNAP! ­ a song­pitching company which represents an impressive roster of talented writers. Lindsay currently lives bicoastally, as she balances international success writing for major label, multi­platinum selling artists, and her roles in Publishing and Artist Development for The Judy Stakee Company, as well as independently as a Music Business Coach. She recently had Top 40 success in Japan with breakout artist, Yoko Yazawa, and 2015 will see the release of actress/recording artist Sabrina Carpenter’s debut album (Hollywood Records), which will feature Lindsay’s music.
