Having composed the theme music for ABC’s Good Morning America at age 26, Matthew Kajcienski is currently one of today’s most aired network theme composers including ABC’s 20/20, This Week with George Stephanopoulos, Good Morning America, The Lookout, Would You Fall For That?, America This Morning, Year of the Quarterback (ESPN), the ABC News Election Theme Music, the 2013 ABC News Branding, Special Report Music, the ABC Olympics Coverage Theme, and more. Known for his colorful orchestrations, imaginative textures, and compelling approach to scoring, Kajcienski has successfully blended the line between the concert stage and commercial/TV/film scoring.

Kajcienski holds degrees from The Juilliard School where he studied composition with Pulitzer/Oscar winner John Corigliano and Samuel Adler, as well as violin studies with Stephen Clapp. Award highlights include an American Academy of Arts and Letters “Charles Ives” Scholarship Award, an ASCAP/Morton Gould Award, 1st place TCM Young Film Composer’s Competition, an NFAA Award (National Foundation for the Advancement of the Art) and a “Henry Mancini” Fellowship to name a few.

Kajcienski has also composed music for major advertising clients including Siemens, Coke, Bengay, American Express, Nintendo Wii, Shredded Wheat, IBM, BlackRock, CISCO, Merck, Mylan, Shreddies (Bronze Lion Winner), Kodak, and numerous others.

Kajcienski is also active in the concert music world including premieres at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall and NYC’s Carnegie Hall.

A passionate car enthusiast and train hobbyist, Matthew can often be scene in the driver’s seat (more likely holding a spanner) of his DeLorean DMC-12.
