"The best you can do is to prepare your heart and be obedient... you have to be willing to become invisible. It’s never about you. Nothing in the service is about you. People aren’t coming to see you. They are coming to experience God." It's a sentiment that is a common thread throughout the writing of some of William McDowell's chart-topping worship songs, including the runaway hit "I Give Myself Away" and "I Won't Go Back." In 2013, McDowell released his latest album, Withholding Nothing, featuring the radio hit of the same name. The album earned him his first GRAMMY nomination, as well as a Dove Award nomination and multiple Stellar Award nominations. Now, McDowell is working on his next album, led by the already-popular single, "Send the Rain." Motivated by a call to resource the world with powerful worship music, William McDowell has become regarded as one of the foremost worship artists and songwriters of his generation.
